Phil Valentine is the son of a former six-term Democratic Representative from North Carolina, but is nonetheless a self-described conservative Republican. Phil lives in Nashville where he grew up and went to school. He is probably best known for protesting against raising taxes. Phil authored a book about the protests, which he helped instigate, against a proposed Tennessee state income tax.
